Frankincense Resin-Infused Oil
Not all frankincense oils are created equal. And the difference begins with the resin.
Revered for thousands of years for its remarkable skin-restoring and therapeutic properties, frankincense is now attracting renewed attention from modern science. Yet there is one important distinction that many people overlook: frankincense resin and frankincense essential oil are not the same thing.
Our Frankincense Resin-Infused Oil is handcrafted using wild-harvested Boswellia carterii resin from Somalia, finely powdered and slowly infused into organic jojoba oil through a carefully controlled, gentle-heat process over several days.
Unlike conventional frankincense oils made by diluting essential oil in a carrier, our preparation begins with the actual frankincense resin, prized for its naturally occurring boswellic acids and other remarkable botanical compounds.
Why the Resin Matters
Frankincense resin contains a family of compounds known as boswellic acids, extensively studied for their anti-inflammatory activity and potential benefits in joint health and other inflammatory conditions.
Here's what many people don't realize: these compounds are not present in conventional steam-distilled frankincense essential oil. They remain in the resin rather than passing through the distillation process.
By slowly infusing the powdered resin directly into organic jojoba oil, we take a different approach, drawing on traditional herbal extraction methods to capture oil-soluble constituents of the whole resin rather than relying solely on its volatile aromatic fraction.
For Face, Neck & Décolleté
Frankincense has long been prized in traditional beauty rituals, particularly for mature, dry, and weather-exposed skin. Combined with organic jojoba oil, this luxurious botanical infusion helps soften and condition the skin, improve its supple appearance, and diminish the visibility of fine lines associated with dryness.
The oil absorbs beautifully when massaged into slightly damp skin, leaving a smooth, luminous finish. With regular use, it makes a wonderful addition to a facial care routine focused on maintaining softness, elasticity, and a healthy-looking glow.
For Body, Joints & Massage
Frankincense has an equally fascinating history in traditional preparations for tired muscles, stiff joints, and overworked bodies. Today, boswellic acids continue to be investigated for their role in inflammatory pathways and joint comfort.
Our resin-infused oil makes a beautiful massage treatment for knees, hands, shoulders, legs, and other areas where a soothing, restorative massage is welcome.

Victoria's Note
There has been quite a bit of excitement surrounding frankincense oil lately, and I am generally reluctant to join the hype surrounding any ingredient, including those we use in our own products. But this time, I understand the enthusiasm.
I've been using our frankincense resin infusion on my face, neck, and décolleté, and the results have genuinely impressed me. There is something about the way my skin looks afterward that is difficult to describe. It almost seems to glow from within.
My favorite way to apply it is to first mist my face with a hydrosol or simply Evian mineral water, then gently massage a few drops into the damp skin.
I've also used this oil to massage an old knee injury and, occasionally, my legs when restlessness makes falling asleep difficult. In my personal experience, it really makes a difference.
