Customer photo review of Laurel & Flame Premium Olympia PGI Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Love, Love Laurel & Flame olive oil from the Olive Temple! I would have given 5 star review, but was a little disappointed in the “ best used by October 2026.” I would have only ordered 1 bottle. We travel a fair amount; as much as I love the olive oil, will have a hard time( I believe) using up both bottles in 5 months.

Store owner replied: Thank you so much, Linda! We are very happy to hear that you love Laurel & Flame olive oil. Just to clarify for anyone reading, this bottle is from the 2024 harvest, which is currently offered on our product page as a separate harvest-date option at a discounted price. The newer 2025 harvest is also available as a separate option with a much later expiration date of 7/15/2027. That said, we completely understand that customers who use olive oil more slowly, or travel frequently, may prefer to order one bottle at a time or choose the newest harvest. Thank you again for your kind words about Laurel & Flame — we truly appreciate your support!

Since first purchasing in Greece, I have sought to get more. I’m appreciative of a vendor in the USA, so I may continue to purchase for some of my best recipes that are beautifully enhanced by the Laurel & Flame brand!

A friend of mine sent this to me after visiting the Greek Islands. She knows how much we enjoy amazing olive oil and yes the olive oil is truly amazing. We enjoy it on our salads pasta & pizza. We’ll be purchasing it on a regular basis.

Carefully packaged, no damage. Exactly the product I wanted, having purchased at the source in Greece. Very excited to receive this and start using it immediately. However, it doesn't have the same pepper-in-the-throat as my previous purchase, and I'm wondering if it was past its prime? Perhaps the coveted alpha-tocopherols degrade over time?

Store owner replied: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for ordering this oil again after enjoying it in Greece. We are very happy to hear the bottles arrived safely. The oil you received is from the most recent harvest, but each harvest can have its own slightly different organoleptic profile. The level of bitterness and peppery finish may naturally vary from year to year depending on the season, harvest timing, and the olives themselves. We truly appreciate your feedback and support.

We originally sampled and purchased this olive oil where it is grown in Greece. Because of shipping costs from Greece, future orders were not placed. Now that My Greek Basket offers the same olive oil choices domestically, we have placed several orders. The shipping costs and purchase prices are reasonable.

I enjoyed visiting this farm on my trip to Greece. I was so impressed by the family and their method of growing their olives and producing the oils that I had some shipped home. I pleased was I to find your website so that I could replenish my supply because I’m just not satisfied with any other EVOO. This is the best! I oder 3 varieties and love them all for different uses. O so impressed with the way the product is wrapped and packed to protect it during shipping. Thank you so much!
